Industrial Panels
In order to find the right balance between scientific presentations and active participation the industrial panels of ServiceWave 2010 fosters the discussion with leading players of the ICT industry about real-world experiences and promising research directions that can have an impact on the service industry for the purpose of aligning academic and industrial research agendas. We are proud of the extraordinary industry panels that have been held during the past ServiceWave conferences which are designed to maximize the interactions between the audience and the panelists. This year we are preparing a new format for our industrial panels, making them livelier and most of all, more controversial!
Two panels will be part of ServiceWave 2010:
Testbeds for service deployments – Tuesday, 14th of December, 15.00 – 16.30
Fast prototyping, testing and experimentally driven research are key to speed up and leverage the deployment of new application and services.
The panel will present some of the existing testbeds for service deployments in Europe, as well as the match/mismatch between the needs, requirements and solutions currently available. In addition, the panel will explore the process and means to better orchestrate the offering and stimulate the usage. Finally, it will also discuss issues such as sustainability, business models and international positionning.
Security in the Clouds – Wednesday, 15th of December, 13.30-15.00
The panel will review the main achievements in Cloud Security in the last few years, and highlight the main challenges they see ahead from their perspectives. The panel has been selected to represent different perspectives: the strategic view of European research, the academic research and industrial perspectives, and the socio-economic perspective. The panel session will end with a Q&A session on Cloud Security topics.
